After we had our wars, we can barely sit together as a team of 23 brave soldiers again. We are all happy that we finished the war. After all, we trained for 14 years but only doing the real thing for one whole month. Even so, some of us are tired, some couldn't even sleep. YES! we fight for ourselves, not for the country. The future is up to us to decide.

After the war, 23 of us went separated. We sometimes meet up to talk about the war, but we all know how is the sadness when the result of the war will be announced.

Well, on 12th March 2009, the result of the war were released. That was a tragic scene. Some of us know we lost a leg (get D), some lost a hand (get C), some get diseases from the war (get B), some crying. Some even died in the war (all fail). However, we tired our best during the war, we consider that we won for ourselves already.

For many years, the government called that war SPM. But they even get kids to be involved in a war called PMR.

So besides making "cold" jokes about SPM, i'm here to ask my ex-classmates:

Hey all ex 5 Hope students and everyone else who reads this blog. I just want to drop by to congratulate all of you for your results...

I know i haven't dropped by on this blog for a long time and have been a very irresponsible author to this blog by not keeping you guys posted. Being busy is not an excuse. Anyways, a few things I want to mention after what happened yesterday:

a) Congratulations to all 5 Hope students on your excellent results. Just to let you know that no one failed chemistry, biology, physics and add maths. The overall results were pretty good!

b) Congratulations again to all ex 5 Hope students who made it to the Top Achievers list. If i'm not mistaken (please correct me if I'm wrong), SIX out of the 15 top achievers were from 5 Hope. They are Ding Shen, Giap Chin, Kor Shin, Lily and Yeng Be. So, well done to all of you.

c) It was really nice seeing all of you yesterday. For those who were not satisfied, please don't feel sad. For EST, we know that's nearly impossible to get A1. For English, they were very strict, so don't blame yourself!
Kor Shin, don't feel sad. Send it for re-checking.
Lily, don't care whatever others say, you deserved this!

d) And lastly, a very good news for all of you! WENG FAI PASSED CHEMISTRY!!! That means Mr. Yu owes the whole class a treat. Weng Fai says that he wants a buffet and that Mr. Yu "should not cheat small children" by not keeping his promise! Haha...

So, for those who are happy with your results, best of luck in future! For those who are not happy, don't be sad, its not the end of the world. And for Mr. Yu, you owe us a treat!

Today is Wednesday the 4th of march 2009, Christmas is still a long time to come, the tree you see above is not about christmas, but a very memorable part of my life. From the day we are born, we learn little by little through our lives, but through these experiences of learning, we gain memorable moments. Most of you might have already recognised the tree u see above, it was taken last year during Christmas in KLCC. It was sent to me by a very important person. Everytime i scroll through the pictures in my w980 Walkman phone, looking at this picture, i will think of her. This is a piece of heaven gifted to me, so we must learn to treasure all the time we have with our friends and family. The point i want to say here is time will never pause and wait for us, there is only one shot in live, only one decision to make, the result is always based on what actions you carried out. don't make the wrong choice and regret. Anyways, i just wanted to inform all of you that there is an ex-surian reunion on the 31st of January 2009 at Sekolah Seri Suria... I found out through Ms. Low... And today weng fai told me about it as well... He says that very few people know about it, so i should tell you... So, here i am, telling you... All i know is that the registration is at 2.30pm and then there is high tea... Maybe you can ask Mr. Yu if he knows anything else... When i asked, he "malas to talk"...

Don't know if i can make it on that day... What about you...?

Hey guys i found something on the net the other day and i find it quite funny and true. So its about the culture of Malaysia.

Here it is:

But recently, there has been a rising number Chinese girls and boys(of
Secondary school ages) who become 'lala'. Apparently it is a widespread and
rampant condition, similar to the black plague. It is easy to distinguish these
people upon sight... but it is rather challenging to describe them with words
alone. Lala-ism is quite horrible and may cause permanent mental and ocular
damage to the uninitiated (or just have common sense and style) as it borrows
heavily from Japanese harajuku and Korean popstars but doesnt look anywhere as cool.

If you are a lala male, you must join gang and walk around like big taiko
but ignore when people pass by you and start laughing, starve yourself so become damn fucking skinny, pierce ear several times, wear shirt with damn pink design or slogan with bad enggeris, and when you fail SPM you must make sure you dye your hair at least 10 different colors so there! One of the common symptoms are the urge of cam-whoring. This is done with one or more girls posing in some "cute" manner, often from a 45 degree angle to make their eyes looks bigger, and the classical bunny ears. They also wear colours you are not supposed to mix (if fashion police go to Sungai Wang for duit kopi can come out trillionaire), wear hand socks in fucking 50 degree heat, wear leggings (pink or purple to shock people), also t-shirt with stupid slogans, and finally must date only skinny lala guys because they got money to buy the fucking expensive lala clothes (the money comes from selling drugs for gang la, where else...)

If u can understand the whole thing u will find it funny xD. Its about the "LALA" in our country.

Ok enough of talking craps (like Edmund).

Here is the list everyone is waiting for....(ish....so big already takan dont know what to bring...leceh betul all these kids...) :

1. BLANKETS (in case Edmund do not know what is that : its SELIMUT..bukan SEMUT)
- Bring 2 better. One to cover the floor where you are gonna to sleep and the other one to cover yourself. It can be quite cold at night esp when it is raining. DS: yes you may bring your sleeping bag but then it will be too much for you to carry.

2. SANDALS (Edmund it is SELIPAR oh..not SCANDAL..lol)
- I am sure you people do not want to still wearing your sport shoes during BBQ session.

3. TOWEL (Edmund should know what is that bah...)
- For you to "MAT SAN" after a refreshing shower, Lol..Salwa you know what is that means?

4. TOILETRIES (Edmund...dont bring your toilet yeah..its T-O-I-L-E-T-R-I-E-S.. go google la).
- You people can discuss and share like toothpaste etc...make sure you all bring if not you wash your face with my big bottle of FAB detergent. lol

5. SMALL PILLOW
- In case you are like me, cant sleep without something to support your head + neck. Then you better bring that but not too big cause you will ve prb carrying it esp when you have to board KTM.

6. SUITABLE ATTIRE (Edmund ...i dont ve to explain on this rite? you pls keep your BLAZER/COAT...etc in the wardrobe)
- Girls...pls no evening gowns...keep for your prom nite la and expect to SWEAT alot. ESP during BBQ.

Last but not least..

7. Anything that can produce lights but NOT candles.
- EXP: Torch Light - the bigger the better. I saw few in Midvalley which do not need batteries to function. Cool. If you are lazy to bring it back then donate it to the HOUSE:)) - Fluorescent one better.

So, there you go. If you have any other suggestions or Extra important items to be brought which i have left out here, pls leave your message here.

P/S: Khong Pui Teng will be coming. She will be the tea lady. No objections pls. The HOUSE allows.... SALWA to take care of her.

Every year I see youngsters come and go. Seeing how they have changed...how much they have grown up and and soon leave.....surprisingly...I dont feel upset or sad about it at all. Lol...Why should I when i know this end is the very new beginning for them. I only feel missing them. Yes, I do...

I was doing SPRING CLEANING my phone's address book the other day..you know..deleting numbers that you don't need anymore so that it wont jam up your phone and making it becomes slower and slower and suddenly.....

I stopped at this number...oh..my 0162985xxx. Its Ms X. My course mate back in University time. We were so damn close back then staying at the same hostel (different room and block of course), meals together, did our assignments together and etc...Stop...not going to tell more..

OK. the thing is...we kind of like lost contact since we left Uni. Just too bad cos she has to go back to her hometown to take care of her parents. Once in a blue moon i did call her but she was always busy at the other end. Calls soon turned to become SMS. Worst, she didn't even bother to reply. It has been 9 years......since the last time i met her.

So, i decided to call her on that SPRING CLEANING day. She answered the call and i was damn excited. However, we don't ve much to talk about. Maybe i was a bit annoyed with the questions and comments that she made. I know i shouldn't but she has changed(or maybe not? maybe i just don't know her well enough... which i thought i did.. sigh..).

"Oh...u still driving the same car?"
(Yeah..am still driving the same car.)
"What? I have already changed 3 times"
(Oh...good for ya.)

"What about house? I am sure after so long...u must ve bought a house"
(oh...Not yet...plan to....soon...)
"What?"
"I bought a 3 storey house in Subang. Are u kidding me or what? Where all your money gone?"
(ehrg....as you know..i am in the education line..so i don't earn as much as you)

"So are you the Principal now?"
(No....still teaching and don't think i want to be one.)

"Oh My....Seems to me...U don't ve much achievements. Lucky i din join the education line last time. You are still stuck there."

Well for that 15 mins conversation, she only talked about how great she was...and how much she has earned. I kept quiet and just listen.

Education and Teaching to me, is not just about making money. Yes no doubt i don't earn millions per year and i don't give a damn but the satisfaction that i got is really priceless. I just LOVE my job.

p/s: U ppl know wat satisfaction i am talking about? I got a card during the 2008 Fifth Former Graduation. It reads:-

Time To Go To SEREMBAN!!!!!

It's already the 26th of November. SPM is always over (specially for those people who have EST as their last paper, because never again will you have to take SPM after this in your life). SPMwill officially be over before you know it. While most people will be upset when it's finally over because they'll never get to see their friends again, Senior 5 Hope doesn't have to be, because after SPM, we have a Seremban trip planned, to go to Mr. Yu's house.

Before SPM, we went through the details with Mr. Yu. Here, after some changes, i'm posting the revised version of the plan.

Date: 11th and 12th of December 2008

Time: 10am *this is the time when all of us will meet at either the Serdand or Kajang KTM
station -please comment on whether you want to meet at Serdang or Kajang*

The Programme will be as follows:

10.00am: Meet at the KTM station (Serdang/Kajang)

10.30am: Get in the train

11.30am: Reach Seremban KTM station (Mr. Yu will meet us there)

* After we reach, we will first go to the mall that is just opposite the KTM station and hang out there. Then we will have A&W, because Mr. Yu said that the A&W is just beside the mall and remember, MR. YU WILL BELANJA*

1.00pm: Go to another mall and see the whole town

*There is another mall at the west of the first mall, a bit further away (i think ) and we will hang out there. After that, we will take the bus and go to a temple that he wants us to see, and after the temple, we walk to his house*

4.00pm: Reach Mr. Yu's house. Bath, wash up and rest.

*Apparently, it will take about two hours for everyone to wash up*

6.00pm: Start preparing the barbecue.

7.00pm: Have the barbecue.

7.30pm: Play games, mahjong, tell ghost stories, and discussion session

*There might be something else for you to play also, but we won't tell you now what it is. I'll discuss with Giap Chin about it first. And the discussion session is where we all have to sit and discuss what we will do for Mr. Yu's house. Mr. Yu said that the deal is, he provide lunch and dinner and in return, we contribute towards his house. Nothing big, just something simple. It could be either fix the roof, repair something, cut a rubber tree or just decorate. So if you're not bringing anything to contribute, at least bring some ideas along to "rescue" the house in any way possible. And if you don't even do that, then Mr. Yu will make you mop the floor*

10.00pm: We do the contributions that we promised.

12.00midnight: Sleep, play, watch the fireflies, or do whatever you want to do

*Our dear chemistry teacher said that we have to get at least a little sleep, so you can't stay up all night long. Also, there are two rooms in the house. One for the girls to sleep in and one for the guys. The girls' bedroom is on the right. It is smaller than the boys' bedroom and has a bed which four people can sleep on. So either we take turns to sleep, or the others sleep on the floor. We decide there and then, after seeing the bedroom. As for the guys, do whatever you want, your bedroom is bigger, but I've no clue how you all will fit in there.*

7.00am: Wake up and wash up.

9.00am: Leave the house and walk back to the KTM station.

*You can stay longer as well, but Mr. Yu is afraid that we will get bored because we will have nothing to do. And nothing is decided for breakfast yet. Maybe near the KTM station as we're leaving. Please give suggestions as to what to do for breakfast, and after that.*

So, overall, if you arrange it in ascending order, it is as follows:

KTM - Mall - A&W - Another mall - Town - Bus - Temple - House - Barbecue - Play - Sleep - Breakfast - Go back

Today, the 14th of November 2008 was truly a memorable day for the Form Fives. The reason i'm saying this is because WE'VE GRADUATED...

Yes, that's right, after about 11 years (for me, at least), we have come to the end of our school lives. I won't bore you with any more of my talk. Just look at the pictures and enjoy...

I added this picture for Mr. Yu, since he said that if I did not add his picture in this post, he would cancel the Seremban trip.

There's a lot going on in the lives of the Form 5 students of Sekolah Seri Suria, specially Senior 5 Hope. The cause of all this might be because on top of the pressure of SPM examination and the Graduation Day Ceremony, we also have the excitement of the Seremban tour in our hearts. I will update more on the exact details of the trip, but for now, let's talk about something else.

It might be too late to say Good Luck to the students who are taking SPM because four (or for those who are taking ICT, five) exams have already finished. So, instead, I'd like to wish you good luck for the results, which on the contrary are not coming out any time soon.

As for the graduation day, I would definitely want everyone to be there because that is literally the last day of our lives in school as students (the SPM examinations don't count as school days). So, let's all attend it and make the best of it! Plus, we'll be wearing the robes and mortarboards for the first time in our lives. Think of the fabulous experience.

And lastly, I'd like to add on behalf of everyone that a huge part of all our lives is almost over. However, there will always be sweet memories to cherish for the rest of our lives... Like the time we celebrated Mr. Yu's farewell party (and in the end, he ended up not leaving the school, lol), and the time when we all attended the phantom of the opera and made fun of it, and not forgetting the time when we organized and celebrated our last Teachers' Day in school followed by the donation to China Press for the earthquake victims in China, also the time when we became buddies of the Japanese students, our last day in the chemisty lab and of course, the time when we all skipped English class together to take pictures and made Mr. Subra take pictures for us, plus almost destroying the kindergarteners' playground... So many memories to be cherished always...

Japanese, Japanese, Japanese...

It seems like the only thing that i hear about nowadays is the Japanese students that visited out school on the 17th of october 2008.

Before they came, it was hard to miss all the excitement, the talking about the Japanese students, the souvenirs that we had to buy for them and how you were going to communicate with them.

While they were here, I not only had to hear about theJapanese students but also hear from the Japanese students.

And of course, if it is not painfully obvious, I, along with everyone else is hearing about them on this blog now.

However, despite the title of this post, I am not here to talk about the Japanese students.

However, I do have some comments for my fellow classmates.

To Ding Shen:
Consider yourself lucky that you got someone you could relate to and that you could at least understand half of what he was trying to say. And yes, eventhough my Add Math is horrible, i can say for a fact that the probability of it happening was VERY low. So, in a way, you're lucky that you can keep in touch with someone who is very much like you are.

To Kai Tian:
That's a very good idea about going to Japan. Lol, you could just go there and never be caught. You wouldn't even need a visa. Except you have to improve your Japanese. Then, there would be nothing that could stand in the way of you and Japan.

To Giap Chin:
Yea, I know that you're very good at Add Math, but don't show off in this blog la, lol.
And why did you announce that I told Mr. Yu about the blog. Was I not supposed to?

Anyways, making this blog was a great idea, so that we can post theevents that involves our class in this blog and also keep in touch with each other even after our SPM.

Everyday was nothing special. But on 16th of Oct, our class went for a jalan-jalan around the school compound. The reason is that we have to take photographs for our magazine page.

But...

I think real reason is that we wanna have fun!

Something funny happen to me when japanese came

Well, lets start from morning
my buddy name kubota he is very nice looking guy he 1 year younger than me

After taking him to his activities(i left him to chun jun :d)i goes around the school to take photo
while i was walking at the birdge i saw lau kah yan ,lily and lim wai weng with their buddy and 2 buddy friends at the passage to block B

Situation:
A:wai weng buddy friend number 1
B:wai weng buddy friend number 2
K:me

i walk toward them and both AB looking at me
A was wandering something
B wispering with A

A looking at me and say: are you japanese?
K surprise O.O say: no no no no
B say: yes yes yes not japanese
A looking at B say: Blah blah blah(japanese)
B say: malaysian yes malaysian
A say: yes yes malaysian...
K say:yes yes yes.....

till now i still cant stop laughing hehehe

the world's population is 6 billion (more than that). To meet that person out of the random, its 1/(6x10^9) or 1/6000000000. But that's not the exact value i can say, there are so many factors influencing the probability. Hope we can treasure our friends and relationships! 1/(6x10^9)

Coincidence?

Today , the Japanese students visited S.S.S. Everyone has their buddy with them during the day. I bet it's fun for them and the surians as well.

The weird thing is , my buddy called Yamasaki Takahiro has almost the same personality and interest as mine. He's almost like another me , just bigger in size and 1 year younger than me...

He is quiet, brief and straightforward , you know , laconic type of guy like me. Plus , he likes reading books and also play table tennis.

I did ask about his performance in school but wasn't quite able to get the precise information from him. The only answer he gave me is "good". So... ...
Well , can't blame him , if only he is better in english or I am better in japanese.

Anyway , I never thought I could meet someone like him. The chance of meeting him must be very slim , could anyone count the probability?

Well , at least he has fun here and we had great time together. But still , I couldn't deny that this is a coincidence. A coincidence that I could never forget.

The Reason We Call Him "YuCl"

In the previous post, giap chin mentioned that we called Mr. Yu "YuCl". But it seems like he forgot why we call him that. Actually, only Senior 5 Hope (year 2008) knows the secret of why we call him that (except giap chin la, haha)

Anyways, I'll clarify the reason why we call him that in this post (consider yourselves lucky)!

Here it goes:

Once upon a time, Mr. Yu was teaching us (Senior 5 Hope) the terrible chapter of salts in Chemistry. We were all pretty confused at first on what he was talking about, but we caught on soon enough.

As Mr Yu was explaining the Group 2 soluble salts, he used Cl as an anion in one of the examples of a soluble salt.

Suddenly, Edmund raised a question. This is how the conversation went:

Edmund: Why must use Cl?

Mr Yu: Har? What do you mean?

Edmund : Why use Cl?

Mr Yu: YuCl?

The whole class (including Mr Yu): *laughs loudly*

Ever since then, our class has called Mr Yu "YuCl". As a matter of fact, Mr Yu came up with the name himself. So, the credit goes to him. Now, you will be called that for the rest of your life.

So, for all those who don't know why we call him that (and giap chin), now you know.
